I have no idea what a roto is, but Darth Vader is willing and able to protect it. What a hero, albeit in a villainous kind of way.

Coincidentally, Mr Vader appears to have added his formidable imposing likeness in mid threat/grab/choke to a piggy bank.

Not sure about the colour accuracy, maybe this is Vader’s personal AT-AT but I guess carrying this round on your shoulder will be like having a Labrador draped over you.

It may be a touch retro in that it only appears to play tapes and radio, with no CD (mp3 might have sneaked in somewhere), but you could argue it is correct for the period when Empire was released

Will have to keep our eyes out to hear if it is going to amble down to a shop near you, or if it is a one off

It may be in contact with the ground rather than hovering above it, and it may be a one-off, but you have a chance to actually own and cruise around in this.

These cufflinks may not look that good up close in the pics but in the thumbnails they look worthy of the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy.

That’s not to say they are worthless – think about the last time you got up close (about 5cm/2in away), to a cufflink to examine the workmanship. Considering the distance usually viewed at, and the likelihood that they’ll be worn at weddings and other alcohol drenched events, I don’t think the up close flatness of the image would harm anyone’s geek-cred.

Wake up Porkins

I have tested one of these for the past couple of months now and can report that the projector thing is top notch, but not all that useful as it only comes on when the alarm goes off and Artoo is bleating for Threepio, and I’m frantically trying to find the button to shut him up.

The LCD clock display is pointless as its not backlit and so small you’d need to be into robophilia and therefore have it on the pillow next to you.

But to Artoo’s credit I’ve not been late since he’s been sweeping the area for intruders, and it is a step up from the generic alarm clock previously entrusted with the galaxy’s saviour.

I’m sure you’ve all wanted to be a fashionable jedi about town but its so hard with a big chunky lightsabre hanging from your belt. Fret no more, my young self-conscious knights, because the weapon that is your life is now disguised as an umbrella. Now you can keep your horns, ponytails or whatever dry while assuming the identity of a local civilised banker.

This time I’ve actually put my money where my mouth is and bought some of the tat I’m writing about. I bought 7 of these beauties simply because they are so damn cheap and with free shipping I thought it was the deal of the year.

After living with these things dangling from my keys it has to be said they are not the most robust items ever (I’ve broken a few of them) and they may make your set of keys more cumbersome than you’d like. On the upside, they make a handy little light for when its dark and you can’t find the lock in the dark. And its a lightsabre. That lights up.

3D Kites

Ooooh baby! I’ve never been into kites as they generally look shit and I’m crap at flying them, but these at least get round the first problem I have with them.

I’d love to be standing on a hill and see a bunch of these swooping around re-enacting the Battle of Yavin

If you are, like me, crap with kites, then be careful about crashing them into some passing egg boxes painted grey.

Walkie Talkie Watches

Ladies & Gentlemen. I give you the Clone Trooper Walkie Talkie watch set. Marvellous.

Not the most stealthy of wristwatches, especially if the aerial is extendable, and I can’t imagine the range will be particularly great, but as long as you can hear your brother/mate doing his best lightsabre noise as he battles a squadron of battle droids then the objective is achieved.
